Harbour Lights Picturehouse: Big scream club ! Such a lovely cinema to visit in an excellent situation in Ocean Village. Albeit with that said others are fantastic . This arty farty cinema has rules - lots of rules.There’s a film you want to see? It was just a joy to visit and restored my faith in cinemas (having suffered multiplex fatigue for so long now) as a place of great filmed entertainment. What a wonderful cinema with relaxing comfy seats, attentive but not over zealous staff and a brilliant film in hand....what more to ask for.The local area has many restaurants and late bars, so why not make an evening of it! read more. Big Scream. They turn the music up loud, leave some lights on and there is plenty of pram space, great changing facilities and coffee.

Do not go from the film distributors website straight to this cinema’s website to buy a ticket.If you do you will bypass the rules.The rules are not to be broken under any circumstances.I had the misfortune to choose the ‘big scream’ showing - this requires you to have a baby with you to gain access (note the play on words there) - despite the cinema being empty and despite me being more than happy to share the whole cinema with a couple of mothers and their offspring, it wasn’t going to happen on David the manager’s watch.Won’t bother again - never know what particular discrimination day you might stumble on.
I have been to many films here, however the most recent was a subtitled movie that was non-visible because the floor does not slope and the whole script was too low on the screen to read. This is the ONLY cinema I have found which has comfy seats and that isn't all crammed in. It does have a bar, and some food offerings. An irresistible romantic comedy with a sparkling lead from director Natalie Krinsky. For parents and guardians with babies under one year old.

If you want to see a movie on the big screen in style then Clapham Picturehouse is worth travelling to if you find yourself in the trendy area of Clapham. Just a great experience. We took a drink from the bar into the screening reclined , moved seats lol and watched the movie . Easy parking, friendly... Only found out about this on Monday and 2 days later I'm here with a ticket to watch Bridget Jones' Baby with my 3 month old. Membership is free and you can join on the day. Big Scream is back next week! Great value (Tuesday's prices are ludicrous - as a member I get to see a film for £4.50 - non-members £6.50).

It’s an initiative dedicated to bringing must-see movies to the yummy mummys and daddy-cools who love cinema, but can’t leave little Hugo at home. Management, when told of my dissatisfaction, stated that the cinema intends to address this problem with a new floor.

As members, we get 10% off food and drink so we thought we would arrive early and eat at the... too, they do their best to make cinema accessible to everyone. Visited here for the first time with family, were seated on sofas at the back of the cinema, very comfortable. read more. Unbelievably, it works! Watch the latest trailers and rate films. Visited a couple of weekends ago to see JoJo Rabbit . Please keep an eye on our social media for updates.A little haven tucked away on Venn Street, our bar serves a wide and delicious selection of wines and local beers as well our very own fair trade small-batch-roasted Picturehouse coffee. No youth chucking popcorn or being loud. Choice of all reclining seats and or private couple sofas .The staff really are not all that helpful and there are many rules .
February 7, 2016. The whole ambience was just a touch above other cinemas. And it was a wonderful experience - the place has lost none of its charm, despite being updated (Screen 2 which used to be miniscule is a lot bigger now!) What's On .

They also offer SEN screenings, family nights for those with babies/toddlers, and a fair few 'silver screenings', which I can't comment on except to say that I like to see options for everyone.Also, although I'm not a drinker, for those that do there is a bar upstairs and you're allowed to take your wine etc. Toddler Time and the Big Scream at the Picturehouse. You can park outside, the staff are great and the seats comfortable. Soon, word of her project spreads, and Lucy ends up with a lot more love than she bargained for.
