You make your way there, buy your ticket, head over to the snacks stand buy something for double what you could get it elsewhere and head in to watch the movie. For a brand new cinema, I find the seating and screens to be unremarkable. It should be a picture of all things fabulous.The rest of Victoria Square is filled with higher end high street stores like Coast, Hollister, Ted Baker, LK Bennett and of course Cruise, home to Gucci, Louboutins, Jimmy Choos and all my other heros.Having said that, there are also branches of H&M and River Island which have better ranges than the other branches in Belfast as I think these are their flagship branches.Upstairs are plenty of restaurants and the very impressive Odeon cinema so you could in theory spend the whole day there.The whole complex is bright and airy, all modern lines and glass. The basic ticket price has been rising enough over the last few years and the prices of the snacks have always been ridiculous. Something really different and great banter!
With plentiful, free on-site parking this 14 screen cinema offers great movie choice. Add on some cheesy nachos, popcorn and a family bag of Revels and you're all set.If you're an Orange mobile user, you can get 2 cinema tickets for the price of 1 for any film every Wednesday which is great and there is also a loyalty points scheme where you earn points to buy snacks each time you buy a ticket.A huge bonus for me is that at weekends and school holidays, you get a free adult ticket with each child's ticket you buy which saves quite a bit.The only minus for me is the so called premiere seats which cost more but are no more comfortable. The cinema going experience is a pretty well known and standard one. Though renowned throughout the UK and possibly further afield, it is arguably the most expensive cinema I have ever had the displeasure of coming across.People come to the Odeon because it is like a virtual reality-type, Star Trek, space age cinema. Wonderful.It's true that HOF isn't a cheap place to shop, but if you want bargains, go to Primark (and I'm not knocking it as I'm a regular Primark shopper). Convenient pickup and drop-off from central Belfast makes for a hassle-free trip. I have loved movies my entire life and like to think I have a wee bit of taste when it comes to these things. I also think its worth a mention that all of the staff I have come across are really genuinely friendly and helpful which sadly is a rarity these days. I haven't had to do it in a while so I'm hoping they've stopped the practice, but you used to have to choose 2 pricing structures depending on your seat location, sitting in the sweet stop around the middle of the theatre cost more than right at the back, too close at the front, or outside of the aisles.
This is a very very expensive option that will add another good few £ to an already hefty family cost (or individual for that matter), basically another £10 to the cost once you roll over the 2nd hour. We have had the fabulous Victoria Square in Belfast for a couple of years now and it really is superior to anything else the city has ever had before. Everything is modern, bang up to date and super clean. I just refuse to have it cost about £20 quid to go see a film! The snacks are particularly good, including one of the very few Ben and Jerrys cafes in Belfast which is an attraction in itself. The screens are crystal clear and the sound is also the same. Just going up the escalator from the car park fills me with joy and excitement before I have evens even the handbags, shoes, clothes and make up. Within the mall, there are a number of restaurants to grab a bite before the movie. Definitely recommend this, a night out watching an iconic movie with free chicken wings and. Love the loyalty scheme tho :). A sharing bag of sweets such as Munchies or Aero bubbles is now £3.40 which is pretty steep. Everyone was up dancing at the end!! I did my degree in film and even had the madness to go on and do my masters in it as well. It's just like any other cinema, yes it has a digital screen but after a while you don't notice the difference much any more.
Ps. So that's all good. The Odeon is a pretty nicely set out cinema that is well appointed and comfortable. Tick, tick, tick. Love the odeon and would always go here. The staff go out of there way to make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in through the doors.Myself and a few friends love our Sunday evening here. The Festival will present a month-long programme of unmissable online opportunities for children, families, young adults and young filmmakers. Last year’s Summer Cinema tickets were snapped up within a couple of hours of being released so, for 2019, movie-goers are being given two weeks’ notice of the release date. On the positive side the film was Brilliant and the fact we had the cinema screen to ourselves was great.

Like I say though, I'm not sure if this is still the case, I didn't like it myself.A down side is that Odeon does seem noticeably more expensive than other cinemas, so the comfortable environment is good, but you pay for it, and it's not to say that others aren't comfortable. Things to do near Courtyard Cinema Belfast. You will be able to go here and see all the latest releases whilst being overcharged for popcorn, sweets, crisps, drinks and hot nuts etc. It is supposed to be futuristic, funky and fresh. Again a great deal and great value for the technical quality of the cinema.Popcorn and food & drinks are expensive here and is probably largely how they make their money ... personally I'm a big fan of sneaking in a packet of sweets and a can of coke...I don't see much wrong with that...besides their popcorn isn't that good anyway...if you want good popcorn go to a movie house cinema!!!! Belfast Odeon has only been open for a couple of years and still has that bright shiny new thing going on. My only issue is that its a little cold. They have classic nights where you watch an old film but so too does the QFT and it is a third of the price.What worried me the most was that you can also pay for a "vip" seat which I did not want to even look at for fear I would kick the sign down and tear it up while security threw be out.All I could think of is if a young boy or girl wanted his or her parents to take them and a few friends to see a film and have some popcorn. It's no cleaner than other cinemas, bigger or more comfortable, it is however less accessible if coming by car as you either have to use the (very) expensive Victoria Centre car park or park a good distance away at another car park or on-street parking.By the time you add all this up you've paid a lot more to go to a cinema like any other (albeit with a better picture quality). I'm really not a huge fan of this cinema and on the few occasions I've visited usually as their listing times suited me better there has never really been many other people around.This is possibly because everything is ridiculously overpriced compared to other cinema chains. Maybe a little pricier than the other cinemas in the city in regards to tickets, food and drink. Sadly all it is is a f... rip-off. Lovely snacks too - especially the Ben and Jerrys ice cream. The problem is it doesn't. And what's with the £1 charge for the 3D glasses?
Scream was brilliant was packed out people even, sat on the ground watching it atmosphere was amazing. The seats are also really uncomfortable.
Odeon Belfast is a great cinema especially with the location right in the heart of the city.

From a young age I was exposed to countless classic films and I still find it a massive treat going to 'the pictures'. I think your finger slipped onto that fourth star there ;), Went with friends and we had a great night. Looking forward to seeing you again at future movies. Everything is twice the price and you are getting nothing extra that you cannot get anywhere else. Nice plus. The staff are pretty friendly but I do agree that drinks, popcorn, nuts etc are ridiculously overpriced- just go get them in the shop beforehand. Staff can't do enough for you as ALWAYS. If you are not doing anything on a Sunday evening and our, looking a free movie and the good ol Belfast laughs head down to whites traven you will not be disappointed , We're more than happy to have you back.
