The same manager who signs you up has to cancel for you, and from my experience he's not willing to cancel once he has the sale in the bag.But know that Florida law DOES have a three business day provision where you can cancel a gym agreement without penalty.
Everyone regardless can catch anything by touching weights ,which are all thrown and scarred everywhere. Everybody else just wants your money, including the people who sign you up and those who want to get you into physical training. Beware how they pressure you into contracts the same day, It's a hassle to get out of... and once you sign, management will give you a hard time if you want to cancel. Horrible and dangerous! Okay, maybe that's the norm for a gym but I come from the Hollywood Y, where things--as great as they are--were always a little worn down. He follows and waits for me outside and looks for my car. I haven't been here in a couple of weeks and oh boy what difference since then. I used to go to the gym off of flamingo and sheridan, I had stopped going to that gym because I did not like the management they replaced in the gym, and also the general class level of people using the free weight section of the gym in the evening( I felt like I was in miami).So I decided to try a new LA Fitness gym, I first was checking out the gym in north lauderdale, also the one on pines off of university etc.The North lauderdale gym I liked but it was to far, it has higher class and culture of people there. When I arrived Was eager to get me signed up and out of her way. I was really annoyed simply because I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, but I cannot stand to be falsely accused. After mentioning that the GM was the person who signed me up with someone who was in training to witness never set an expectation on an annual that doesn't even happen after a year of being a member. 2 weeks after, same problem and worse. I just want to focus on what I'm doing. Some staff members are super rude as well. Well, they charge me a monthly fee plus the same fee as some kind of yerly fee??? Learn more. However, why do I have to drive out of my way? I went to a club in Houston for the summer as I was there and they sold me on a temporary membership and would freeze my other one. Cool. If you come to this location it's probably because you live or work close by. for a great experience. This gave me a sign of relief because I haven't been a member yet for a year thus the term "annual fee" gentleman who answered the phone wasn't that great and challenged me to go find my contract. That will always be my biggest frustration point at any location.As always, there is a lingering scent and general feeling of funk.
