Contributing to the department’s operational efficiency and delivering the highest levels of customer service, the successful candidate will have the proven ability to manage and motivate a dedicated team of volunteers, and to increase ancillary income streams whilst acting as a positive catalyst for change. Whilst the Sherman Theatre is temporarily closed, Claire Bottomley, Sherman 5 Coordinator, is working hard to generate workshops and activities for members to become involved in, as well as keeping everyone informed of FREE online activities, performances and skill-sharing opportunities. As part of a pilot programme supported by Arts Council Wales, Sherman Theatre wishes to appoint a full-time Literary Manager and a part-time Literary Associate on a fixed-term contract for one year to drive forward the development of writers in Wales at all stages of their career.
Christmas production 2016 will be The Borrowers! Sherman Theatre wishes to appoint a Deputy House Manager to help lead the theatre’s Front of House operation, reflecting the success of the artistic programme.
Whilst we are completely committed to the establishment of a Literary team at the Sherman Theatre, it feels prudent in these uncertain times to temporarily suspend the recruitment process for both positions while the sector deals with the current situation.
