USF Student Organizations. Including the nuisance flies! Normal domestic beer selection, cart girls come around enough on the course but sometimes leave early so beware on a twilight round. I would give this 3.5 stars because while the staff was friendly and professional, they didn't stagger their tee times do groups were constantly on top of one another. Need to do something. Charlotte County, north of the Naples-Ft. Myers area, is an excellent place to find them. But I came into town for a school reunion and all of us decided to go out and play around. This course is located on the campus of University of southern Florida, the course itself is long,in good condition and is challenging at times. Multiple people said the same thing, highly doubt I'll be coming back. Tee boxes were very thin. We would love to talk to you about this further. The Claw is home to the nationally-ranked USF Men's Golf Team and USF Women's Golf Team. Stay away. They now have an indoor hitting facility with 3 lanes with Iron Mike pitching. Long, tight fairways, lined with majestic oaks, towering cypress and pines, The Claw at USF is one of Tampa's most challenging and most beautiful public golf courses. I am pretty sure the conditions the employees are working in constitutes an OSHA violation. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our employees diligently work to provide a safe environment for everyone. They are playable and I have seen worse. I'd pay $15 to play here. Very reasonable greens fees and carts are in... By far the worst course condition in my entire history of playing golf.

Located at the University of South Florida, this manicured course is home to alligators, deer, turkeys and many other rare inhabitants. This should be a high priority especially with covid going on. In Southwest Florida, there are some nice golf courses that combine low green fees and good, challenging layouts. Since its founding, UF has competed in every National Championship, and have finished in the top 3 on Four separate occasions including a victory in the Spring 2015 National Championship at Bryan Park. They recently (past year or so) put a lot of money into the course and upgraded all the greens. They just need to invest a little effort in the course.
I really feel bad for giving them two stars as I was in school there and loved playing this course years ago. Due to Covid-19 we are limited to amount of riders we are allowed in a golf cart and try to manage the tee sheet the best we can. The fairways are fine.
